Top ten pro Travis Rettenmaier walks through part 1 of his regular drilling series. This starts with a simple head-on dinking drill that can be played competitively. The key to this drill is not passively dinking back-and-forth but taking up space, being aggressive at the kitchen line and taking balls out of the air as much as possible.
